Currently, the weather in the Ore Mountains is ideal for a longer hike. The temperatures are not too high, making it enjoyable to walk longer distances. A beautiful hiking area is around the village of Tannenberg near Geyer. The Zschopau River flows through the village, which is nestled among gentle hills.
