Drebach Art Wall

In the middle of the forest between Drebach and Ehrenfriedersdorf, a wall suddenly appears as if from nowhere. It is a testament to the former mining activities in the region.

The Radstube, or “Art Wall” as it is also known, in the upper part of the Heidelbach Valley, once served for water pumping. It housed a so-called Kunstgestänge, a mechanical system for water extraction. The structure was likely built around 1750.

The Art Wall is one of the best-preserved Radstube structures in the Ore Mountains.

The monument is located at 50.6459764N, 13.0048467E.
