Tiefenbachteich near Satzun
Pure nature can be found throughout the Ore Mountains, but especially in the area around the 890-meter-high Hirtstein near Satzung in the Central Ore Mountains. In the middle of the forest, near the forestry cabin “Wilder Jäger,” lies the Tiefenbachteich, and just a stone’s throw away is the 857-meter-high Bismarckhöhe.

Hiking in the Evening Sun
In the summer months, it is definitely recommended to take longer hikes, especially in the early morning or late evening hours. This has several advantages. In the early morning, it is still cool, and in the later evening, it is not as warm anymore. Additionally, the sun bathes the landscape in a nearly magical light.
