Pure nature can be found throughout the Ore Mountains, but especially in the area around the 890-meter-high Hirtstein near Satzung in the Central Ore Mountains. In the middle of the forest, near the forestry cabin “Wilder Jäger,” lies the Tiefenbachteich, and just a stone’s throw away is the 857-meter-high Bismarckhöhe.
The nearly 900-meter-high Bärenstein is a popular hiking destination in the Ore Mountains. We will also detail this hiking region on our site. From the upper circular trail, there is a very good view towards the south, of the 1,000-meter peaks of the Ore Mountains, of which there are over 30.
In the summer months, it is definitely recommended to take longer hikes, especially in the early morning or late evening hours. This has several advantages.
