On the Great Spitzberg
Yesterday, I briefly visited the Great Spitzberg (Velký Špičák) in the Bohemian part of the Ore Mountains. This mountain is one of my favorite spots in the region. It’s worth a visit in any weather.

Even on days with overcast skies, a hike in nature can be relaxing. On the 965-meter-high Velký Špičák (Great Spitzberg, also Schmiedeberger Spitzberg) in the Bohemian part of the Erzgebirge, there is always a refreshing breeze. Despite the cloud cover, visibility was quite good.
The Erzgebirge invites you to hike. The nature is blooming, temperatures are moderate, and the visibility is excellent. If you don’t have any plans for this or next week, you should head to the Erzgebirge – the mountains and valleys are waiting for you!
The 965-meter-high Velký Špičák (Great Spitzberg) in the Bohemian Erzgebirge just barely peeks out from the mist. The mountain ridges are clearly visible as well.
